Catie's Corner

Catie’s Corner Vineyard is a prime location for white Rhone varietals. The vineyard was originally planted in the sandy loam, benchland of the Russian River Valley in the late 1990’s and later budded over to Grenache Blanc. The relatively cool climate of this region is ideal for bringing Rhone varietals to full ripeness while preserving a satisfying level of acidity.

A Certified Sustainable and certified Fish Friendly Farming approach is what we should expect from a grower whom has been stewarding Sonoma County vineyard land for over a century.

Campbell McKinney

(Now Young Family Vineyard)

This organically farmed, terraced vineyard sits on an east facing hillside in the Northern reaches of the Russian River Valley AVA. The combined cool climate, eastern exposure, and well drained soils of the site lend to a beautiful expression of Grenache.

Abramson Ranch

Russian River Valley, Sonoma County.

Abramson Ranch, formerly know as Atoosa’s Vineyard, is an ideal location for Syrah. The Russian River Valley is an ideal location for Syrah. Persistent and lingering morning fog helps to promote a freshness by aiding in the retention of natural acidity. The variety of clonal selection allows us to craft a field blend of clones 470, 383, and 174 add layers to this wine in the best of ways. Mild temperatures and a long growing season allow for exceptional ripening with all of the finesse and balance required of an elegant Syrah.

This is a new source for us starting in 2021. Compared to our previous Syrah Vineyard, Abramson Ranch sits in a cooler location and we couldn’t me more pleased with the resulting wines. The vineyard is certified sustainable and has a history of producing some killer wines

Lopez Family Vineyads

Alexander Valley, Sonoma County.

The morning fog drawn in by the Russian River… Stop. You’ve heard that all before. That is the standard of the region but not even close to what makes this site so interesting.

Vine rows, interplanted with tomatillos and bordered by prickly pear cactus, are still tended to by Ramiro Lopez today. Ramiro planted this site back in 1978 and in recent years has been working hand in hand with his son Freddy to bring the site to its full potential. Freddy is one of my favorite renditions of a true modern renaissance man. Professional makeup artist, freelance marketing professional, grape grower, wine salesman, and burgeoning vigneron, Freddy is a busy guy and is bringing the family vineyard to a new level.

Juicy Malbec for our red blend and fresh Cabernet Franc for rosé are what we take home from this Alexander Valley site.

*Ramiro delivered this fruit 12 miles round trip, on the road with his tractor. Legend.
